Zita Gurmai

Zita Gurmai holds the position of President of PES Women, which promotes gender equality inside and outside the Party of European Socialists. She was MEP from 2004-2014, is the current Vice- President of FEPS and re-elected as Member of the Hungarian Parliament since April 2018. In the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, she is the general rapporteur on violence against women and on the Istanbul Convention of the SOC group. In 2022, she has been reelected deputy leader of the Socialist Group in the Hungarian Parliament and PES Women President.
